    Zehlendorf

Zehlendorf lies south of Dahlem and borders Lichterfelde-West to the east and Nikolassee to the west. Until 2001, Zehlendorf was its own administrative district until it was merged with Steglitz to form the district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. It is also only a few minutes to Potsdam.

The district offers many sights, such as the Krumme Lanke, a lake in the southwest of the district, whose 2.5 km long shore path is gladly used by walkers and joggers. Swimming is also possible in the Krumme Lanke at several spots. The lake is also the namesake of the subway line U3 and is therefore a household name to every Berliner. With the "Haus am Waldsee," Zehlendorf offers its residents and guests a place to view international contemporary art with a focus on all media of fine art, design, architecture, and sound.

Zehlendorf is connected by various means of public transport. The U3 begins here with the possibility to travel directly to Friedrichshain. The Wannsee railway stops at four different stations in Zehlendorf and offers a good connection to Potsdam.
