    Kreuzberg

Wild chaos and bourgeois goodness exist side by side—but above all, Kreuzberg is "pop." In the past, self-driving cars were set on fire; today, a bar is named "Molotov Cocktail." Here, you won't find alternative unrest, but rather peaceful street festivals and chic delicatessens. And, of course, the organic market. More than 180 nationalities live here, from almost all over the world. Fresh vegetables at the Turkish market on Maybachufer, artists and intellectuals in one of the many cafés along the Landwehr Canal. Or at the boules court on Paul-Lincke-Ufer.

In the middle of it all lies the 66-meter-high Kreuzberg in Viktoriapark, which gave the district its name. Next to it is the extensively renovated Schultheiss brewery, which has been converted into exciting lofts and modern apartments. Just a few minutes' walk from the hotel lies the Riehmers Hofgarten with its magnificent facade: it is considered one of the most beautiful historical buildings and has always been a popular place to live. When "Inglourious Basterds" was filming in Babelsberg, Quentin Tarantino and his team called this neighborhood home.
